Not Again!!!

If you have been trying to make the law of attraction work for a long time, there might be a chance that you are being overly positive. You read right.

People can actually be TOO positive and avoid negativity with such force that nothing manifests at all.  Abraham Hicks never suggests avoiding negativity. They teach how to recognize when it is there and turn away from it.

This experiment is designed so you can feel negative energy and process it rather than wrestle with it with the theory that a money breakthrough could result.  Look what Rebecca from Australia wrote to me tonight after the class. Thank you so much Rebecca for sending this note:

“Your Worth Your Weight in Gold and now this Money Experiment have been so good for me. I hate looking at the negative yet your experiment today was A..MA..ZING! I didn’t want to do it and nearly didn’t but last minute started writing complaining the whole time.

Yet when it came to turning the negatives into positives it all changed. It felt almost joyful so I wrote out the whole paragraph with the positive words – WOW! What a difference!  From something that gave me such anger and grief to happy. It blew me away.

Thank you again and bless you for sharing your love and knowledge to us so we can grow together…

Thanks so much. Have an Amazingly, Awesome Day! Rebecca”

This is the perfect experiment for the busy person. It is easy, almost too easy. See how you feel after going through the process. Decide for yourself if negativity could possibly boost your manifesting power.

I call it the Bill Murray Technique as a tribute to his movie, Groundhog Day. If you are going to tell the same story over and over, you might as well pick a good one, right? Are you ready to let go of the left over emotional energy still attached to something from a long time ago? Make Bill proud!

Step 1: Think of a painful holiday memory from the past. Allow a disappointing or sad holiday come to mind. Notice if you feel anything in your chest or throat. Maybe your eyes tingle a bit or your jaw might feel achy. All of these are signs that energy is moving.

Step 2: Write a version of this story that focuses on the worst parts of it. Write in detail. Vent on paper and be negative (this from the queen of positive), you can do it. Complain all you want about how unfair it was and how no one cared how alone and disconnected you felt. (Notice if you resist this task, write about the resistance and how you dislike the task.)

Step 3:  Circle all of the negative words in the passage that you wrote. Circle each word. If a phrase is negative, circle the most negative words in the phrase. Count how many words you have. What is the general tone of the list? On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being neutral and 10 being highly charged with negativity, what do you rate it? Write down the number

Step 4: Write a list of words made up of the opposite of each word in the painful passage. For example, if I would have circled “painful” in the above sentence, the opposite might be “relieved.” There is no right or wrong. Simply think of an opposite. If you have trouble, use thesaurus.com to search for options. Read through this list and rank the tone from 1 being neutral to 10 being highly charged with positivity. Write Down the number.

Step 5: Spend a moment pondering the different charges there are on these two word lists. Breathe into the fact that words themselves carry real energy that you can feel.  Now, go through the passage you wrote in Step 2 and cross out each negative word. Cross them out thoroughly and with force. Scribble them into oblivion. Check in and see if there has been a shift in your thoughts about this incident or person.

Step 6: Write a new paragraph of what you truly desire with the positive word list. Isn’t it cool how your Inner Being showed you exactly what you are hungering for in your deepest heart. By using your very own words, the Universe provided you with a tangible “feeling” of what it will be like for you when your desire manifests.

Step 7: Wash, Rinse, Repeat. This is a remarkably easy and effective process. You can use it again and again, just like Ground Hog Day. Each time you will release what I call “bubbles of remembrance,” incidents and events that are still holding hurt feelings. Releasing hurt feelings is different than forgiveness. When you release trapped energy like this, you make room within your energy field to “house” the things you are waiting for.

Good luck and have fun! If you are so inclined you can burn your paperwork in a ceremony to complete your session. Do you feel relief?
