Better in Baja
Little did I know when I started experimenting with Napoleon Hill’s ideas about Sex and Manifesting in July of 2017 how my life would spin into a whole new orbit. Holy Moley. (That is chapter 11 in Think and Grow Rich.)
Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, a tornado of circumstances hit my life on October 1, 2018 and out I popped on the beach in Baja, Mexico, not speaking the language or understanding the money. Plus, there was no yellow brick road to follow.
Life is challenging in the most delicious ways. I am in a surprisingly rural area within an hour of San Diego where English is not spoken much by the locals. It took several weeks before I finally felt socially connected. College Spanish and very patient, loving Mexican people are helping me speak the language.
I feel like I am living inside a crossword puzzle, always rolling my ideas in my mind to express them simply in Spanish.
This is the most fun I have had in a very long time. My new friends Sandra (who makes mouth watering fish tacos every day for 20 pesos apiece, that’s about a dollar) and Tanya (recently moved here from Nicaragua) are sweetly patient while my mind tumbles around for words. “Mas palabras!” I wail to myself, I need more words! LOL

I really appreciate being able to leave voice notes and pictures so I can share without typing! My life has so changed now that I am living in a different country. Facebook is no longer relevant to my life in any way. It was logical to prune that community now.
Wait til you see pictures of my new cliffside home. Holy crap.
