Is the social distancing getting to you?

Are you angry at the person in the white house?

Are you annoyed when people aren’t social distancing?

Are you missing your friends and social life?

Anger or frustration can be easier to feel than other emotions. Because you can tag a person or thing to your feelings, they flow out of you toward the thing pissing you off, and that can bring relief for a minute. It can feel super good to rant, can’t it???

But, here is an idea, suppose you pause your frustration for a bit and peek at sadness. Why? What if sadness could actually help you manifest faster? What if it is sadness that holds creative energy hostage?

What if sadness holds within it the power to lock and unblock you?

“The energy of sadness naturally leads inward and because of that a real breakthrough can happen.” according to Women’s Empowerment Expert Kasia Urbaniak. I say CAN happen because you have complete control. What you say? I am completely OUT of control, didn’t you notice a pandemic is happening. Wait, read on!

What we know for sure is that your situation is creating a response of overwhelm….and we also know that sadness might be part of it. I wonder how in touch you can get with sadness right now in your ideas or in your body.

Law of Attraction lovers may have no road map for times like this.

Where is well-being? Where is Abraham Hicks when you need them? Are you SUPPOSED to feel sad sometimes. WTF?

Tough questions for a tough time.

What is the opposite of sadness in your world? Some of my options are here, in case you can’t think of any right now. (You might know I adore the thesaurus!) Cheer, delight, happiness, joy, advantage, benefit, comfort and gladness are all opposites of sadness in some way.

Which one appeals to you? There is no right or wrong. According to the teachings of Ms. Urbaniak, there is a good chance that you have a burning desire that will ignite one or more of these feelings: cheer, delight, happiness, joy, advantage, benefit, comfort and gladness and then a remedy evolves, a way to transmute the sadness into personal power.

But even though cheer, delight, happiness, joy, advantage, benefit, comfort and gladness are in the waiting room, don’t rush.

Use this opportunity today to explore sadness personally and in a fresh way. What is here for you now? Where does it take you today? Because this is very tender work and not for the faint at heart, wait til you have some time alone and try one the best inner detective tools I know, left and right hand journaling.

With your dominant hand, write the prompt and then switch hands and write the response in your non-dominant hand. Do not be in a hurry here. Better to put it down and rest for awhile then rush.

[Special Coaching Note]:Remind yourself it is an inward journey and mining for treasure is a slow process with a rich reward. There is no right or wrong. Think of it as an experiment. Could sadness be at play and you don’t know it?

Once you have processed through this round with sadness, remember, you can visit again anytime you want. It is a sacred place. Now go back through this list. Which of these words makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck?

What would you like to experience instead of sadness? Cheer, delight, happiness, joy, advantage, benefit, comfort and gladness are all opposites of sadness in some way.
